Embellished Tights

Have you ever seen embellished tights? With beads or sequins or embroidery on them? I hadn't, and found this tutorial and the accompanying pictures to be really intriguing.

What do you think? Are embellished tights something that a regular (non-model) person could wear? If so, what situations would be appropriate? I'm not thinking it's something you'd wear to church...

I'm not even sure models should wear them. lol To me, wearing tights makes legs more streamlined - adding beads rather negates that. It doesn't do anything for me, but I suppose someone who likes them could wear them for just about anything. You're right, though, probably not for church. They're a little too flashy.

I totally get what you're saying! The interesting thing about fashion is that it survives on taking concepts and turning them on their heads. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I feel like the embelished version could work if the garment it was paired with was very very simple, such as a little black dress. What do you think?

Yeah, that might work. The picture that pops in my mind when I try to picture an "embellished tights" outfit is a little girl in tights, a skirt, and a super cute blouse. Considering the care, though, that one should take with these tights, little girls might not fit the bill. :)
